comm•une and House of Vans are teaming up to present a new monthly film club showcasing a curated selection of music films and documentaries.
Born out of a mutual love of independent film making and counter-culture each event will spotlight significant movements and moments in music history, encouraging a collective conversation through the addition of panel talks and post-film drinks.
We're kicking off this new instalment with a pre-release screening of award-winning documentary Stretch & Bobbito: Radio That Changed Lives.
Directed by Stretch & Bobbito themselves, the doc tells the story of two friends in NYC whose love of music made them unlikely legends by bringing a unique audience together and breaking the world's biggest rap stars, featuring Nas, Jay-Z, Biggie Smalls and Wu-Tang Clan.
To follow the film, a panel talk will see Spin Doctor, Semtex and Shortee Blitz discuss the legacy of Stretch & Bobbito's famous radio show.
